When we first left the mountains we stayed at a park in Old Fort, NC. We had this whole park to ourselves which was a great way to start things off. We enjoyed the warmer weather and greater presence of spring. The Bus still needed some of Jody’s handiwork and Gravy snuggled up to be his helper as the work on the water tank and storage pipe for the sink water took shape. The girls were delighted to discover it was toad mating season at the pond. Gravy was the first to catch a toad and then the girls took over the specimen collection department. We collected some eggs in a jar to watch their development.
